CONGRATULATIONS to the new owners who purchase Blackbutt's Famous Bunyanut Cafe.
This licenced cafe/restaurant is a walk in and take over. All the hard work has been done in creating this unique place, you wont find another cafe like this one. So if you are looking for a tree change, you should definitely take a look at this great opportunity.
We have owned and operated this café for the last 10 years and this property comes freehold and all equipment included. Current owner lives locally and is willing to work with you on a warm hand over and training. Our locally trained staff are ready to meet you and grow further with the business and the untouched opportunities for more development growth.
This cafe is located on the main highway, central and right in the heart of town, which attracts many visitors stopping for brekky, lunch or dinner before continuing on their journey. Often people will call in for a nice cool beverage at our licenced bar enjoying the relaxed atmosphere. Many of our local customers say that this is the place to meet and eat in Blackbutt especially with our capacity to host many public and private functions.
Blackbutt is the gateway to the South Burnett and was voted the "Friendliest Town" in 2008. Home of the famous tennis player Roy Emerson Museum, Blackbutt is Centrally located 1 ½ hours to Sunshine Coast or Toowoomba or Caboolture. The annual Blackbutt Avocado Festival and Brisbane Valley Rail Trail events attract many visitors to the region.
The cafe, restaurant and Scrubby Creek Bar has a seating capacity of up to 100 and is decked out in local recycled timber and iron. The Scrubby Creek Bar was opened by Chad Morgan (famous entertainer) in 2016.
The front entrance stair rail, cleverly constructed of woodcutters axes and the entrance for the bistro the doors are constructed of slabbed
iron bark timber and iron pick handles which really depicts the timber country atmosphere.
The Restaurant décor depicts the country days of iron and slab huts, and it has that nostalgia with its wooden beams and tables handmade from locally grown silky oak. The inside of the bistro is air conditioned and has all been built with recycled timbers of a ruined 19th century building nearby.
The back of the cafe is nestled in a lovely garden setting and when you look up you will see the spiral domed ceilings of old corrugated iron. The back drop for this unique setting is made from a huge Tallowwood tree estimated to be 100 years old. The entrance to the toilets is carved out of the top of this magnificent tree.
Our timbered deck area is made from massive blue gum trees, our locals call it the Wood Henge. This area is very relaxing to have drinks and nibblies on the deck or dinner under the stars with friends.
